Employee Assistance Programs

What is an Employee Assistance Program?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an employer provided benefit that helps managers and employees identify and resolve problems, which may impact job productivity, employee
retention and the quality of the workplace environment.

Problems like…

  • Stress

  • Emotional Distress

  • Alcohol or Drug Abuse

  • Interpersonal Conflicts

  • Marital/Family Problems

  • Low Morale

  • Relocation Difficulties

  • Low Productivity

  • Absenteeism/Tardiness

  • Communication Difficulties

...can have a negative impact on the workplace.

An EAP intervenes to solve these problems by offering
professional clinical and consultation services for managers, supervisors, employees, and employee family members.
Businesses offering an EAP report an increase in employee
satisfaction and retention, decreased sick time and use of medical benefits, as well as enhanced employee/employer relationships.
