Emergency services are one of the most important services we offer. CW Staff makes over 8,000 contacts a year with people who are suffering acute behavioral symptoms, such as suicidal thoughts, homicidal thoughts or thought disorders that have impeded their ability to function. Our emergency staff evaluates the safety of the distressed individual and develops plans that ensure safety for both the individual and the community.
Sometimes these plans require psychiatric hospitalization or referrals to other services. In each circumstance, keeping the individual safe is the primary goal of every emergency services clinician.
