Mind Over Mood Mondays – 4:30pm
Substance Abuse Expanded Outpatient Mondays & Thursdays -  6:00pm
Dialectical Behavior Therapy Wednesdays – 4:30pm
Community Support Group Fridays – 1:00pm

STAFF
Program Director     Jackie Skramstad, LCSW
Jackie has been with Colorado West since 2002. A graduate of Glenwood Springs High School, she received her BS degree from Santa Clara University and her Master’s from San Jose State, both in California.  Jackie started her career in California working at Eastfield Ming Quong Child and Family Services and San Benito County Mental Health before moving home to Glenwood Springs.  Jackie has been involved with the implementation of the DBT program in Garfield County and provides training company-wide. Jackie has a passion for hiking, camping and being outdoors.

Psychiatrist     Craig Bushong, MD
Before joining Colorado West in 2012 Dr. Bushong had a private practice for 22 years in Houston, TX.  He specializes in child psychiatry. It is extremely important for Dr. Bushong to always grow and he is often working towards a new skill or improving the wellness of his community.

Licensed Clinician     Amanda Bricker, LPC
Amanda, a Licensed Professional Counselor, has been with Colorado West since 2009 and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary.  Amanda enjoys working with clients from all age groups, children through adults.  Originally from Northern Arizona, Amanda has been in Colorado for the past nine years.  She loves spending time outside hiking and exploring with her husband and son.

Licensed Clinician     Maureen Turner, LCSW
Maureen, nicknamed “Charlie”, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who came to Colorado West in June 2012 from the Colorado Mental Health Institute-Pueblo.  Charlie also works with Abby, a Black Labrador Retriever, and Certified Therapy Dog.  Charlie and Abby enjoy working with adults and groups.  They are both looking forward to learning more about their new community and feel so fortunate to be living in such a beautiful place.

Licensed Clinician     Stephanie McMiller, LPC
Stephanie holds a Master’s degree from Naropa University where she studied Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy. She is new to the region and Colorado West, Inc since Sept 2012. Stephanie specializes in trauma resolution, crisis intervention, triage, and EMDR. She enjoys hiking, yoga, cooking and laughing with friends.

Licensed Clinician     Lois Menke-Cashman LSW, CAC III
Lois began working with Substance Abuse Disorders in Minnesota, then moved to Colorado Springs where she also worked in the addiction field with a passion for dual diagnosis. She is a Certified Addictions Counselor and recently completed her MSW at Colorado State University. She works as an addictions specialist with Colorado West, providing extended outpatient programs for adults.

Licensed Clinician     Tammy Perry MSW, LCSW
Tammy received her Bachelor’s in Social work from the College of Saint Teresa in Winona, MN and Master’s of Social Work from the University of Denver.  She has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 22 years and previously worked for CW from 1990-2008.  Her areas of specialization are Early Childhood, Play Therapy, trauma and Family Therapist.  She also enjoys working with adults and couples.  She is a Volunteer Board Member with the non profit Davi Nikent (Ute for Always Light), which promotes Integral Health and Human Flourishing through co-creating health and wholeness in body, mind and spirit.

A native of Colorado, Kathy joined Colorado West in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her family and being in the back country.
